Backpack Blessings

Deacon Mike Seibert of Dubois performed a backpack blessing at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois on Sunday. Seibert said he started performing backpack blessings four years ago in response to an increase in school shootings happening in the country. “There was a need to ask God to protect our students,” Seibert said. The first day of school for Dubois County schools is Thursday.
