Auxiliary sends students to Girls State

Hoosier Girls State delegates and alternates were named for American Legion Auxiliary Unit 147 in Jasper.
Hoosier Girls State is a program designed to educate young women of Indiana in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship. It is a week of living and learning the political system of Indiana through a mythical city, county and state.
Girls attended Trine University in Angola Sunday, June 23, through Saturday, June 29.
The delegates and alternates are from Northeast Dubois and Jasper High School. Delegates from Northeast Dubois are Adrienne Marie Betz, daughter of Michael and Christine Betz; Jara Lynn Braunecker, daughter of Jason and Jennifer Braunecker; and Emily Merkley. Alternate was Olivia Schroering, daughter of Leon and Cathy Schroering.
The delegates from Jasper High School are Anna Kidwell, daughter of Jay Kidwell and Cindy Norris; Emma Reutepohler, daughter of Curt and Sharon Reutepohler; and Isabelle Blazey, daughter of Scott and Darla Blazey.
