Authorities place woman in custody for sentencingOctober 1, 2018
From Local Sources
HUNTINGBURG — A woman who failed to appear twice for her sentencing in a 2017 drug case was taken into custody Friday on a Dubois Superior Court warrant.
The Huntingburg Police Department originally arrested Jamie N. Burress, 26, Paoli, in March, 2017, after a home search in Huntingburg revealed she was in possession of marijuana and several drug paraphernalia items.
In a plea agreement in August 2017, Burress pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession and possession of paraphernalia.
When Burress failed to appear for sentencing hearings in October and November of last year, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Burress was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:16 p.m. Friday on the outstanding warrant.
