SHOALS — Authorities launched a death investigation Friday after responding to the report of an unresponsive male at a residence north of Shoals.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 8:47 a.m. reporting a male was unresponsive at a residence.
That individual, identified as 32-year-old Eurie W. Lamar of Shoals, was pronounced deceased a short time later, according to the sheriff’s office.
The cause of death is still under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Martin County Coroner’s Office.
Indiana State Police, Martin County Emergency Medical Services, the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department and an IU Health ambulance also responded to the scene.
