ROME — Authorities have identified the body of a woman found earlier this month in Perry County.
On Friday, the Indiana State Police and Perry County Coroner’s Office determined the body found April 6 near the Rome boat ramp on the Ohio River was that of Stephanie Black of New Albany.
State police say the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department had taken an initial report about Black and are now working on the investigation. No foul play is suspected, according to authorities.
Last week, authorities had appealed to the public for assistance and officials sought to positively identify the body.
