WEST BOGGS LAKE — Authorities are conducting a death investigation after a Wednesday afternoon report of a drowning at West Boggs Lake.
The Washington Times Herald reports callers told dispatch just after 1:30 p.m. that the male victim had already been pulled from the water on the north end of the reservoir, off Pine Tree Road.
Police said the victim, a 79-year-old man from Ramsey, in Harrison County, may have suffered a medical emergency before falling out of a boat.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers who are conducting the investigation said they hope to release more information after an autopsy today.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police were assisting agencies during Wednesday’s response.
