From Local Sources

PATOKA LAKE — A Vanderburgh County man was taken to jail Sunday night after being accused of being impaired while boating at Patoka Lake.

Michael W. Adams, 46, Evansville, was operating a 2000 Lowe pontoon boat near the Lick Fork Boat Ramp when a Department of Natural Resources conservation officer approached the vessel at 9:40 p.m. because of a white stern light violation.

Adams showed signs of impairment and had a blood alcohol content that later tested .103% in a certified test conducted at the Jasper Police Station.

Authorities booked Adams into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:49 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating a motorboat while intoxicated. He was released from the jail Monday morning.
