Authorites allege man stole library video games

JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a Jasper man into custody Monday on a Dubois Superior Court warrant charging him with felony theft.

Court documents allege Sean M. Lemond II, 31, 1338 Leopold St., exerted unauthorized control over various Jasper Public Library video games June 24.

The offense would normally be a misdemeanor but the Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a notice of intent to seek an enhanced Level 6 felony penalty because of a previous theft conviction.

A warrant for Lemond’s arrest was issued Wednesday. He was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center at 1:54 p.m. Monday.
