Auditions announced to ‘Torn Apart’

JASPER — Auditions for “Torn Apart” will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, and Thursday,  Jan. 24, at St. Joseph Parish Center in Jasper.

The show is about the United States being on the brink of the Civil War. This original two-act production will take people on an unforgettable adventure, from ballrooms to battle fields and back again. With its 11 original songs, this show weaves not only a historical thread into its tapestry, but the importance of family, values, convictions, truth, forgiveness and ultimately that love will win in the end.

Auditionees are asked to prepare a 1 minute to 1 minute, 20 second vocal selection, and bring any dates and times that they are unable to rehearse. No previous theater experience is required.

Positions available foor those who would rather not perform include stage manager, light and sound operator and set construction.
