Assisted living center’s alarm activates

From Local Sources

JASPER — Units of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department responded to an alarm activation Monday afternoon at Legacy Living of Jasper, 1850 W. State Road 56.

The 2:01 p.m. callout involved a manual pull alarm, but as a COVID-19 precaution, only two fire department members entered the facility, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang. They and facility maintenance personnel did not locate any problems and the alarm system was successfully reset.

Three trucks and 22 firefighters responded for 15 minutes.
