Mike and Ann Ackerman of Jasper announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlyn Ackerman, to Alex Hoffmann, son of Jerry and Loretta Hoffmann of Louisville. A 5:30 p.m. wedding is planned for Saturday, September 26, 2020, in Copper & Kings Distillery in Louisville.
The couple’s wedding date will mark the third generation of Ackermans to be married on September 26. The bride’s grandparents, Raphael and Phyllis Ackerman, were married on September 26, 1959 and will celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary in 2020. The bride’s parents, Mike and Ann Ackerman, were married on September 26, 1981 and will celebrate 39 years of marriage on their daughter’s wedding day.
Miss Ackerman is a graduate of Jasper High School. She earned a bachelor’s of arts and a master’s of architecture from Ball State University in Muncie. She is an architect with Weyland Ventures in Louisville.
Mr. Hoffmann is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He is an architect at Arrasmith in Louisville.
