NORTON — An investigation into recent theft reports involving all-terrain vehicles, tools and other items produced two arrests Friday.
The investigation by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office in the northeast portion of the county where thefts had primarily occurred has reportedly resulted in the recovery of stolen items that include at least one ATV and several other pieces of property that had been reported stolen.
Arrested on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of theft was Curtis D. Rodgers, 36, 11588 E. Cuzco-Norton Road, French Lick. Authorities booked Rodgers into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:45 p.m. Friday.
Also arrested Friday was Alejandra Mora, 23, 610 W. 36th St., Jasper, who was questioned in connection with the investigation and Rodgers’ whereabouts. As a result of that contact, Mora was arrested on a preliminary misdemeanor count of false informing. Police said Mora was also named in an active body-attachment warrant involving a $1,571.24 small claims judgment.
Authorities booked Mora into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:11 p.m. Friday.
