Arrest follows report of possible impaired driver

JASPER — A report to police about a possibly impaired driver entering Jasper from the south Friday night resulted in an arrest.
A Jasper Police Department officer located the maroon 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, stopped it after the vehicle was observed crossing the centerline two times and tested the driver, Amanda M. Stenftenagel, 38, 414 S. Santine Road, St. Anthony, for impairment.
Police said Stenftenagel’s blood alcohol content tested .105% during a certified test at the Jasper Police Station.
Authorities booked Stenftenagel into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:34 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. She was given a date to appear in court and released on her own recognizance Saturday morning.
