HUNTINGBURG — A Sunday morning report of an intoxicated male lying in a roadway resulted in an arrest.
Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputies and a Huntingburg Police Department officer responded to the 7:17 a.m. report of an individual in the 90-degree curve in the 3700 block of County Road 630S.
Officers who made contact with Derek W. Harrison, 42, 2132 Cinderella Road, St. Meinrad, said he exhibited signs of intoxication and had a blood alcohol content that tested .16% on a portable breath test.
The sheriff’s office booked Harrison into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:30 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of public intoxication. He was given a date to appear in court and released on his own recognizance that evening.
