JASPER — Police jailed a man early today after being called to the report of a domestic disturbance.
Jasper Police Department officers responding to the 4:44 a.m. call at apartments in the 500 block of Village Court made contact with Jorge Diaz, 27, 502 Village Court, in the parking lot.
An investigation determined Diaz had strangled and battered a female at her residence, police said.
Authorities booked Diaz into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:56 a.m. on preliminary Level 6 felony counts of domestic battery and strangulation.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
