From Local Sources
JASPER — Police made an arrest Wednesday afternoon after responding to a mishap in the Dubois County Community Corrections Center’s lot.
The Jasper Police Department was dispatched at 5:40 p.m. to the report of the accident at 257 Brucke Strasse.
Police say the accident involved a parked 2016 Ford Fusion and a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Sarah E. Angerer, 30, 680 Giesler Road, Jasper.
Officers who noted Angerer appeared to be under the influence reported that she stated she had used narcotics two days prior.
After she failed field sobriety testing, Angerer was transported to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center for a chemical test for drugs and alcohol that allegedly found methamphetamine and amphetamines in her system.
Authorities booked Angerer into the Dubois County Security Center at 8:44 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated (drugs).
