FERDINAND — A report late Saturday night concerning a man working behind the McDonald’s restaurant counter in Ferdinand ended in an arrest.
A complaint at 11:03 p.m. sent the Ferdinand Police Department to the fast food restaurant at 25 Industrial Park Drive. Police say a caller advised a man waiting on customers appeared to be intoxicated. The complainant also advised police about erratic behavior in and around employees in the restaurant’s kitchen area.
A complainant guided an arriving officer to the individual, Justin S. Blake, 38, 633 W. Ninth St., who had gone to a vehicle in the parking lot.
A Ferdinand officer and two Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputies allegedly determined Blake was intoxicated after a series of field sobriety tests.
Authorities booked Blake into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:22 a.m. Sunday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of public intoxication. Jail staff said his blood alcohol content tested .09 percent at the security center.
