Arrest follows domestic case no-showJanuary 15, 2019

JASPER — A Crystal-area man who missed a court date last month in a felony domestic battery case was booked Monday afternoon into the Dubois County Security Center on a failure-to-appear warrant.
An August report of a physical domestic in progress in the Crystal area originally resulted in the arrest of William E.J. Yarbrough, 21, 8475 E. State Road 56, Dubois.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department had investigated last summer and said a male victim at the scene had visible injuries.
Yarbrough is charged with a Level 6 felony count of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and invasion of privacy. The latter charge was filed because the victim was the protected individual in an active protective order.
The case made its way through Dubois Circuit Court until, on Dec. 10, Yarbrough failed to appear for a hearing and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Authorities booked Yarbrough into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:52 p.m. Monday on the active warrant, as well as on a failure-to-appear warrant in a minor consuming case still open in Dubois Superior Court from last May.
