Armstrong earns bachelor’s degree

Austin D. Armstrong has earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Murray (Kentucky) State University.

He was named to the dean’s list several times during his time at MSU. He was a member of the marching and pep bands, where he was trumpet section leader for several years, and a member of the trumpet ensemble and concert band. He marched professionally for two seasons with the DCI World Class Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.

Armstrong is a 2014 graduate of Jasper High School and the son of Clay and Stephanie Armstrong of Jasper. He has accepted the position as assistant band director at Denison (Texas) High School.
