Anthony Persohn, 68, Evansville, died at 3 a.m. CDT Monday, April 22, 2013, in Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
He was born in Jasper on May 24, 1944, to Harry and Lorena (Spellmeyer) Persohn.
Surviving are his wife, the former Linda Parish; five sons, Chris Persohn and wife Kim of Newburgh and Rennie Silen and wife Lisa, Michael Silen, Matthew Silen and Mark Silen and wife Tammy, all of Evansville; a sister, Kathy Pfister, Elizabethtown, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Persohn was a graduate of Jasper High School and Lockyear School of Business. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked as a supervisor for General Tire.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. CDT Friday in Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Lincoln Ave., Newburgh. Pastor Mark Silen will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Evansville.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. CDT Thursday at Boone Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Christian Church.
