Deacon Mike Seibert officiated at the marriage of Andrea Lynn Divine and Byron Ronald Wening, both of Jasper, on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. The ceremony took place at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Ireland.
John M. and Linda Divine, 13278 E. 800S, Loogootee, and Brent and Joan Wening, 6285 N. Portersville Road, Jasper, are parents of the couple.
Dawn Stemle and Dan Racicot provided the music for the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown of duchess satin with a dropped waist. Embroidery and crystal beading on the bodice extended down the back and around the hemline. The empire waist and hemline had double bands of duchess satin. The A-line gown had back buttons and a chapel train.
Becky Meyer of Jasper was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Kelsey Erny and Katie Henry of Jasper and Hannah Humbert of Celestine, friends of the couple, and Jamie Qualkenbush of Shoals and Michelle Ash of Loogootee, sisters of the bride. Miniature bride was Kynsley Gogel of St. Henry, cousin of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Abbigail Meyer of Jasper, niece of the bride.
The bride’s attendants wore asymmetrically draped one-shoulder, ruffled gowns with of silk taffeta.
Jason Schmitt of Jasper was best man. Groomsmen were Jon and Brady Erny, Clint Renner, Zach Leinenbach and Kyle Hochgesang, all of Jasper, friends of the couple. Ushers were Vince Hildenbrand and Alex Renner, both of Jasper, and Nick Erny of Holland, friends of the couple. Kaleb Meyer of Jasper, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Miniature bridegroom was Liam Qualkenbush of Shoals, nephew of the bride.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Divine wore a two-piece jacket dress of black jersey with beaded edging and a long skirt. Mrs. Wening wore a long gown of champagne hammered shimmer fabric with a beaded empire waist, a tiered skirt and a bolero.
A reception was held at the Huntingburg Event Center.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is at home at 173 W. State Road 56, Jasper.
The bride graduated from Loogootee High School and Vincennes University Jasper Campus. She is an administrative assistant at Uebelhor Toyota. Mr. Wening is a 2006 graduate of Jasper High School. He is employed by Wening Farms, owner and operator of B&A Wening Turkey farm, a bus driver for Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools and a member of the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department.
