American Legion Auxiliary Unit 147April 6, 2021
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 147 met on Monday, April 5 at 6:45 p.m. Meeting was called to order, opening prayer was given per Sherri Messier, moment of silence was observed in memory of our fallen MIAs and POWs, Pledge of Allegiance and Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary were recited. Meeting declared convened.
Reading of minutes was dispensed, motion made by Beth Kersteins and 2nd by Brenda Schnarr, all approved and motion was carried.
Treasurer report was given by Beth Kersteins.
The Auxiliary Monday night dinner is on April 12th. There will be a Mother’s Day meal at the next Auxiliary meeting which will be on Monday, May 3, doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with meal and meeting to follow at 6 p.m. Cost of meal will be $8.00. Please RSVP by April 21st either calling American Legion at 812-482-3862 or signing up at Legion. Election of officers will be coming up soon with installation of officers in August. Poppies will be by donation only this year. Suzanne Neukam read poem “Planting Your Spring Garden”.
Next Auxiliary meeting will be Monday, May 3 at 6 p.m. Next District meeting will be Sunday, April 11 at Boonville.
Closing prayer was read by Vickie Welp. Meeting adjourned by President Sherri Messier.
