New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye was decorated with heart-shaped candelabra and mums in fall colors as Amanda Marie Adams and Anthony Wayne Rasche exchanged wedding vows. The Rev. Tracy D. Tinker officiated at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.
Parents of the couple are George and Marilyn Rasche of Dubois and Ron and Tina Adams of Taswell.
Dianna Wilson, Loogootee, godmother of the bridegroom, passed out programs. Corinne Lanman and Summer Fleck, cousins of the bridegroom, gave out bubbles.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory strapless gown with a sweetheart necklace, a fitted bodice and a dropped waist with ruched organza, Swarovski crystals, embroidery and pearls which continued onto the full organza skirt and chapel train. A fingertip veil with embroidery and Swarovski crystals and pearls was held by a crystal and pearl tiara. The bride wore a gold heart necklace given by the bridegroom and pearl earrings. She carried a cascade bouquet of mixed flowers in fall colors.
Joanna House, Eckerty, was matron of honor for her sister. Flower girl was Aoibhinn Rasche, St. Anthony, cousin of the bridegroom.
The matron of honor wore a long, halter-style gown in eggplant with an empire waist adorned with crystals. She carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s. The flower girl was dressed in a sleeveless ivory dress with an eggplant sash and wore a crystal tiara.
Best man was Joshua Fleck, Celestine, cousin of the bridegroom. Ushers were Adam Lanman, Bloomington, cousin of the bridegroom, and Opie House, Eckerty, brother-in-law of the bride.
The mother of the bride wore a long, empire-waist gown in toast and a matching jacket with three-quarter-length sleeves. The bridegroom’s mother chose a three-piece, long, navy ensemble with a jacket with three-quarter-length sleeves and sequin accents. They wore wrist corsages of fall flowers.
A reception followed at Reflections in Huntingburg.
The couple is residing in Haysville.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Crawford High School Junior-Senior High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville, with a degree in health services. She is a certified nursing assistant at Northwood Retirement Community, Jasper. The bridegroom graduated from Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois, in 1998 and is a landscaper for Buschkoetter’s Lawn and Garden.
