Altercation outside bank brings arrest

From Local Sources

JASPER — A man will face two misdemeanors after police were called Saturday morning to the report of a physical altercation in the parking lot of a bank in the 200 block of Third Avenue.

After responding to the 10:30 a.m. call and investigating, Jasper Police Department officers determined Charles A. Ballou, 49, 239 Hillside Drive, Jasper, had battered another man after a verbal altercation turned physical. Police also determined Ballou, whose driver’s license is suspended and who has a prior conviction for driving while suspended, had driven to the location.

Authorities booked Ballou into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:46 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of battery and driving while suspended.
