Alissa Fulton of Anderson and Darrin Englert of Indianapolis were married in a double ring ceremony Saturday, May 17, 2014. Pastor Jim Sandberg officiated. The vows were exchanged at 11:30 a.m. in an outdoor ceremony at Tabor Baptist Church in Muncie underneath a pergola built by the bridegroom’s father. The pergola was decorated with ivy and various white flowers.
Dave and Terri Fulton, 4517 Golfview Drive, Anderson, and Allen R. and Cheryl Englert, 4000 W. 1100S, Huntingburg, are parents of the couple.
Hannah Fulton and Megan Wolterman were readers.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a long, sleeveless gown of white lace and silk georgette made by her mother. Small white flower blossoms decorated her elbow-length veil of silk georgette. The bride carried a bouquet of white and green hydrangeas with white roses.
Hannah Fulton of Anderson was maid of honor for her sister. Also attending the bride were Rachel Fulton of Indianapolis, sister-in-law of the bride, and Dayna Justice of Crown Point, Jenna Litz of Muncie and Whitney Stidd and Kerri Morgan, both of Indianapolis, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Jenna Fulton of Adnerson, sister of the bride, and Aoife and Saoirse Fulton of Panama, cousins of the bride.
The bridesmaids were attired in strapless, ankle-length gowns of navy chiffon and carried bouquets of white hydrangeas. The flower girls wore sleeveless dresses of white organza with white flower blossoms in their hair.
Mr. Englert chose his brother, Sean Englert of Indianapolis, as best man. Groomsmen were Andy Fulton of Indianapolis and Aaron Fulton of Anderson, brothers of the bride, and Sean Graft, Ryan Elswick and Daniel Webster, all of Indianapolis, friends of the bridegroom. Eli Webster of Indianapolis, friend of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Fulton chose a knee-length, sleeveless gown of shimmering plum fabric. Mrs. Englert wore a knee-length, champagne dress with silver lace overlay and lace long sleeves.
A reception followed in the church.
The couple is at home at Sunview Circle in Indianapolis after a honeymoon to Pacific City in Oregon
The bride, a 2010 home school graduate, attends Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis and is employed at Kool Smiles in Indianapolis. Mr. Englert graduated from Southridge High School in Indianapolis in 2006 and from IUPUI in 2010 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is a project leader for ThyssenKrupp in Indianapolis.
