Alexis L. Nelson and Nicholas Page Herron exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2018, in Central Christian Church, Huntingburg. Rev. Darrel Land officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Julie and Jeremy Nelson of Jasper. The groom is the son of William and Christie Herron of Huntingburg.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory wedding dress by Martina Liana from the House of White. The low-back dress featured swirls of dramatic, Diamante-beaded lace that created a unique silhouette. The bodice had a low-cut neckline with thin lace straps. The long lace train swept down from the back and finished in a classic lace hemline for added drama. The open-back dress also featured delicately placed illusion lace and was embellished with classic Diamante beading.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the church.
The bride chose Gracie Nelson, Jasper, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alexandra Beatty, Paoli; Annie Getzin and Bailee Moser, both of Jasper; and Miranda Sermersheim, St. Anthony.
The bridesmaids wore mauve dresses by Chistina Wu. The dresses featured illusion lace inset accents and a lightly gathered halter-neck bodice with a cutout back.
The mother of the bride wore a knee-length, halter-top dress with a ruffle in navy. The mother of the groom wore a knee-length, lace dress in charcoal.
Mr. Herron chose his brother, Mason Herron, Huntingburg, as best man. Groomsmen were Jayden Nelson, Jasper; Jason King and Bobby Hall, both of Huntingburg; and Logan Lenager of Montgomery. Justin King , Michael Pund and Klayton, friends of the groom, were ushers. The ring bearer was Liam Beatty, Paoli, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held at Venue 1408, Huntingburg, with music by Brad Buechler.
Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple is living in Evansville.
The bride is a graduate of Jasper High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville. She is a fourth grade teacher at West Terrace Elementary School in Evansville.
Mr. Herron is a graduate of Southridge High School, Huntingburg, and received earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from the University of Southern Indiana. He is a fifth grade teacher at Oakland City Elementary School.
