From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — Members of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department were called Monday afternoon to an alarm activation at DMI Furniture, 903 N. Chestnut St.

Fire Chief Scott Patberg said an alarm company had been notified of sprinkler testing that would be taking place within a two-hour window. When work began slightly before that time window opened, the fire department was paged at 1:32 p.m.

Five trucks and 15 firefighters were on the scene about 15 minutes.
