JASPER — An alarm activation early Monday sent the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department to a Jasper hotel.
Units responded to the Holiday Inn Express, 2000 Hospitality Drive, at 4:09 a.m.
Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang said there was no fire associated with the alarm, but the exact cause of the activation was not identified.
Personnel successfully reset the alarm system.
Two trucks and 18 firefighters were on the scene 20 minutes.
