Alarm sends Jasper firefighters to hotel

From Local Sources

JASPER — A Tuesday morning alarm activation sent the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department to a Jasper hotel.

Units responded to the Holiday Inn Express, 2000 Hospitality Drive, at 7:23 a.m.

Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang said there was no fire associated with the alarm. Instead, he added, steam in a second floor room triggered a sensitive alarm.
