CUZCO — A motorist complained of pain after her car collided with a deer Wednesday morning along a county road south of Cuzco.
Kimberly J. Jones, 52, Dubois, was southbound on Cuzco Road South in a 2010 Ford Escort when the 6:30 a.m. accident occurred just past County Road 450N, near Patoka Lake, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Jones’ car struck a deer after it ran from the west side of the road into her lane of travel.
Jones complained of left wrist pain caused by the deployment of her car’s driver-side air bag. She indicated she would seek medical attention on her own, according to the sheriff’s office.
Jones assisted in pulling the deer from the road after the accident, according to the sheriff’s office.
Damage was estimated to have exceeded $5,000.
