Adi Dilger and Grant Welp

Adi Dilger and Grant Welp exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. on June 1, 2019, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand. Father Christopher Droste and Deacon James King officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Kristy Dilger of Ferdinand. The groom is the son of Greg and Linda Welp of Huntingburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown made of Ruca lace featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a fit-and-flare silhouette. The gown had buttons up the back and a chapel train. She wore a cathedral-length veil.

Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalists Colin Hildenbrand and Nicole Bittner and pianist Tracie Catt.

The bride chose Chloe Dilger of Ferdinand as maid or honor. Jenna Dilger and Emily Freeman, both of Jasper; Cassie Dilger, Aubrey Welp and Kylie Blessinger, all of Ferdinand; Jayme Burch of Newburgh; Megan Myers of Indianapolis; Erin Thewes of Celestine; and Ashley Knies of Chicago were bridesmaids. The flower girl was Lily Welp of Ferdinand.

Mr. Welp selected David Welp of Ferdinand as best man. Elliot Dilger of Jasper; Nathan Bromm, Kyle Butler and Kory Fischer, all of Indianapolis; Tyler Hileman of Monon; Joey Pasquale of Noblesville; Alex Grow of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Alex Hopf of Huntingburg; and Justin Haas of Schnellville were groomsmen. The ring bearer was Theo Dilger of Jasper.

A reception was held at the Ferdinand Community Center with music by Kevin Powell from Side One Sound.

The couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and is living in Evansville.

The bride is a graduate of Forest Park High School, Ferdinand, and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University, West Layfayette. She is a speech-language pathologist at Center for Pediatric Therapy in Evansville.

Mr. Welp is a graduate of Forest Park High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Franklin College. He is a teacher and assistant football coach at Reitz High School in Evansville.
