Accident totals both vehicles

JASPER — A Tuesday afternoon accident at Kellerville Road and Cherry Street totaled two vehicles.

At 2:30 p.m., Bonnie L. Pauw, 73, Jasper, was facing west at the intersection while Camden C. Knies, 20, Jasper was driving south on Kellerville Road. Pauw attempted to drive across Kellerville but failed to see Knies on the street, Jasper Police reported. Pauw’s 2002 Ford Explorer entered the intersection and collided with Knies’ 2016 Jeep Patriot, police said.

The accident totaled both vehicles, police said. Pauw was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

The Jasper Police Department was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Sternberg's towing service, and Uebelhor's towing service.
