Accident results in multiple charges

JASPER — A single-vehicle mishap early today on Jasper’s northwest side resulted in multiple preliminary charges for the arrested driver.
The Jasper Police Department was called at 2:30 a.m. to the 3700 block of North Portersville Road where a Jeep Grand Cherokee damaged a gate, a curb and grass near a parking lot.
Officers determined the driver, Biatris G. Gonzalez, 22, Plainville, was intoxicated. Police said Gonzalez’s blood alcohol content tested .129% in a certified chemical test at the Jasper Police Station.
Authorities booked Gonzalez into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:13 a.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony operating while intoxicated (prior) and misdemeanor driving while suspended, reckless driving and criminal mischief.
A Bob Luegers Motors wrecker assisted at the accident scene.
