Accident occurs on wet highway curveJanuary 17, 2020
From Local Sources
HAYSVILLE — A curve and a wet roadway surface were factors in a single-vehicle mishap early Sunday east of Haysville.
Abbie J. Zink, 28, of rural Huntingburg, was eastbound on State Road 56 in a 2009 Pontiac Vibe when the 12:14 a.m. accident occurred east of County Road 175E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Zink told a deputy she felt the rear of the Pontiac lose traction on the wet blacktop as she was coming around a curve.
The car crossed the centerline, spun 180 degrees and stopped off the north side of the highway facing west.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
A Uebelhor & Sons wrecker assisted.
