HAYSVILLE — No injuries were reported after a pickup truck-versus-car collision Thursday evening north of Jasper.
Cassandra R. Hutchins, 26, St. Croix, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2006 Dodge when the 6:03 p.m. accident occurred at Old Road 45, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said the Hutchins Dodge, which was stopped in a line of traffic, was rear-ended by a 2008 Dodge Ram truck driven by Dylan C. Dant, 19, Loogootee.
Dant told the deputy he came around a curve, saw the stopped traffic and was unable to stop.
Total damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000. A Ruxer Ford wrecker towed the Hutchins vehicle. Dant’s truck was able to be driven from the scene.
The sheriff’s department was assisted by the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services.
