JASPER — A Tuesday afternoon accident ended in a man fleeing the scene and later being arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The Jasper Police Department was contacted by an off-duty Indiana State Police trooper who witnessed an accident at 15th and Mill Streets, advising that a man fled the scene. The trooper was able to stop the vehicle shortly after at 15th and Main streets and found Wileam Roblero, 20, of Jasper.

Roblero had collided with the vehicle of Kenny Kline, 64, of Jasper, which caused at least $3,000 in damages to each car.
