JASPER — One of the drivers in a two-vehicle mishap early Sunday at Westwood Boulevard and Village Court was arrested for alleged impaired driving.
The Jasper Police Department was called at 12:07 a.m. when it was reported that the at-fault driver in the mishap was trying to start an altercation.
Police allege Misael Montes Fiallo, 40, Hialeah, Florida, the driver of a red Ford Mustang that officers found on the curb at the scene, failed a portion of field sobriety testing and had a blood alcohol content that tested .117% on a certified breath test.
Authorities booked Montes Fiallo into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:23 a.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. Montes Fiallo posted bond later in the morning.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
