HUNTINGBURG — Police investigating a single-vehicle accident in Huntingburg during the weekend arrested the alleged driver, accusing him of impaired driving.
The Huntingburg Police Department was dispatched to an accident on Lincoln Drive at 7:58 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle involved in the accident, a 2003 Hyundai Veloster, was unoccupied but returned to Noe Gutierrez, 27, who resides at 2010 Lincoln Drive.
Police made contact with Gutierrez, who was described as unsteady and who allegedly admitted to being the driver.
Authorities report Gutierrez’s blood alcohol content tested .25 percent at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Gutierrez was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:06 a.m. today on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
