A quick look at the prep sports action The Herald staff covered Wednesday night. These stories will be in today's print edition and will be updated back here at DuboisCountyHerald.com later this morning.

Wildcats 3, Alices 0: Nick Gobert twirled his second consecutive complete-game shutout, leading Class 3A No. 2 Jasper past Big Eight Conference enemy Vincennes Lincoln at Ruxer Field. Gobert allowed only five hits to beat the Alices for his fifth win of the season five days after he blanked Southridge in a game Jasper (20-2, 5-0) won by the same 3-0 score. The shutout was the seventh of the season for the Wildcat pitching staff. Courtland Betz and Mark Gielser both drove in a run for the Wildcats, while Spencer Otto and Austin Alles each roped a double.

Raiders 13, Braves 0 (five innings): Southridge piled up six runs in the first inning then one-upped itself with a seven-run eruption in the third inning on its way to a whipping of Tecumseh in a Pocket Athletic Conference mismatch at League Stadium. Luke Stetter singled, doubled and drove in two runs for the Raiders (11-7, 5-2), while Dillion Ramsey also whacked two hits and Jacob Brewer drove home two runs. Stetter, Ramsey and Brewer all score twice, and Connor Craig and Ben Weber both doubled as part of the Raiders' 13-hit arsenal. Cody Moesner pitched the first four innings, allowing only two hits without a walk to earn his fourth victory of the spring.
