70 years: Chester and LaVerne Hanebutt

Chester and LaVerne Hanebutt will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Chester Hanebutt and LaVerne Sendelweck were married on Sept. 5, 1950, in Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. Their attendants were Mabel and Randall Grable.
The couple are the parents of three sons: Donald (Karen) Hanebutt of Boonville; Michael (Elaine) Hanebutt of Huntingburg; and Rick (Karen) Hanebutt of Charlotte, North Carolina. They have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hanebutt retired from farming and the Holland Dairy. Mrs. Hanebutt was a homemaker and retired from various area businesses.
The couple plans to celebrate with a private family gathering.
