MONTGOMERY — Police say seven individuals were injured in a Daviess County vehicle-versus-buggy accident Saturday evening north of Montgomery.
Indiana State Police at the Jasper Post were contacted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department to assist with the accident that had occurred on Daviess County Road 650E, a half mile north of Daviess County Road 200N.
Police say a southbound vehicle driven by a juvenile motorist crossed left of center and struck a northbound, Amish horse and buggy, as well as another northbound vehicle following the buggy.
Individuals suffering non-life threatening injuries were identified as Louis Stoll, Dorothy Stoll, Ina Graber, Shirley Graber, Lorita Graber and two juveniles (including the left-of-center driver) whose names are not being released.
The ages and relationships of the injured were not immediately released.
State police reconstructionists worked the crash but potential criminal charges, if any are forthcoming, would come from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, according to state police.
