65 years: Roman and Alice Hentrup

Roman and Alice Hentrup of Jasper will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 18, with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Thanksgiving at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. A dinner for invited guests will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Roman Hentrup and Alice Englert were married August 31,1954, in St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony. The late Father Norbert Spitzmesser officiated. Their attendants were Alberta Luebbehusen, the late Helen Englert, Florentine Schnell, James Bachman, Edward Hentrup and Hilbert Englert.

The Hentrups are the parents of Janice (Dennis) Weyer of Ferdinand; Jeff (Tanya) and Ron (Whitey) Hentrup of Huntingburg; Allan (Renee), Kenny (Cheryl) and Paul (Chris) Hentrup, all of Jasper; Roman (Margie) Hentrup Jr. of French Lick; Mike (Beth) Hentrup of Holland; Mark (Janis) Hentrup of Indianapolis; the late Sharon Hentrup; and John Hentrup, who died in infancy. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hentrup retired after 50 years as a finish specialist at the Jasper Cabinet Company and Jofco and was a part-time bartender at the Schnitzelbank. Mrs. Hentrup worked part time as a cook and was also a homemaker.
