65 years: Linus and Margaret Knies

Linus and Margaret Knies of Jasper will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on July 16.
Linus Knies and Margaret Betz were married on July 16, 1955, in Sacred Heart Parish, Schnellville. Father O’Conner officiated at the ceremony.
The couple has four children, Barb (Joe) Striegel, Rick (Teresa) Knies and Linda (Gary) Dall, all of Jasper, and Lisa (Henry) Haake of Ferdinand. They have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Knies retired from the St. Anthony Post Office after working as a rural mail carrier for 40 years. Mrs. Knies retired from Lueken Chicken Farm.
