60 years: John and Betty Gehlhausen

John and Betty Gehlhausen of Jasper celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June with an evening Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ireland, and a private family gathering at Lake Rudolph campground, Santa Claus.

John Gehlhausen and Betty Voegerl were married on Aug. 1, 1959, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper, by Fr. Robert Wannemuehler.

Their attendants were Eileen (Voegerl) Schepers, Mary Lee (Gehlhausen) Mehringer, Beverly (Weigel) Castelli, Pauline Rohleder, Gilbert Voegerl, Allen Voegerl, Leroy Gehlhausen and the late Raphael Gehlhausen.

The Gehlhausens are the parents of Pamela (David) Freeman of Asheboro, North Carolina; Brian (Joyce) Gehlhausen of Jasper; Todd (Sherri) Gehlhausen of Logansport; and Tony (Katie) Gehlhausen of Cummings, Georgia. They have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
