Gerald and Shirley Terwiske of Dubois are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Gerald Terwiske and Shirley Bonifer were married on July 16, 1959, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in St. Anthony at 8 a.m.
Their attendants were Doris (Bonifer) Schnell, Ruth (Bonifer) Hauser, Mary Jane (Terwiske) Budell, the late Pat Friedman, Ron Bonifer and Ralph Bonifer.
They are the parents of Ann (Mike) Ackerman, Brian (Karen) Terwikse, Bradley (Donna) Bradley, Bruce (Tina) Terwiske and Audra (Greg) Miller. They also have 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
On Sunday, July 21, a 10 a.m. Mass will be celebrated for them at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois with a noon meal for the family and wedding attendants at the new Dubois County Community Park building. An open house will be held there from 2 to 4 p.m. for family and friends. The couple requests no personal gifts. Donations may be made to Dubois Community Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Terwiske retired from Dubois Garage on Dec. 31, 2007, after almost 48 years in business.
