50 years: Tim and Darlene McNelis
September 17, 2020Tim and Darlene McNelis of Jasper will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 26. The couple plans to celebrate with a Mass of Blessing at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper that day with a private reception to follow.

Tim McNelis and Darlene Fischer were married in 1970 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Kane officiated the ceremony.
Prior to retirement, Tim was self-employed as a home builder and finish carpenter. Darlene was in banking for 32 years at Old National Bank and retired from German American Bank this year after 16 years of service.
LaVerne Cornett, the sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Norbert Luebbehusen, the groom's brother-in-law, was best man.
Bridesmaids included sister of the groom Sheila Rudolph, sister-in-law Anna Fischer and cousin of the bride Donna Belkoski. Groomsmen included brother of the bride Dennis Fischer and friends of the groom Donald Burger and Randy Buchta.
They have two children, Tara Blessinger and Kyla Uebelhor of Jasper, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Roc and Jack Uebelhor and Anna Blessinger.
