50 years: Roy and Janet Partenheimer

Roy and Janet (Lemmon) Partenheimer of Birdseye celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 9 with a private family dinner.

They were married on Aug. 9, 1969, in Birdseye. Rev. John Jackson officiated at the ceremony.

Mr. Partenheimer retired from Kimball International and then retired from being a self-employed truck driver. Mrs. Partenheimer retired from United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in Huntingburg.

The Partenheimers are the parents of two sons, Douglas Lee (Melissa Kunkler) of French Lick and Brian James (Kris) of Ferdinand. They have five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

The couple is planning a trip to the Western states.
