50 years: Leroy and Vicki Welp

Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Welp of Jasper will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 7 with a 4 p.m. Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper. Following Mass, a dinner and reception will be held at the Moose Masonic Lodge for family and invited guests.
Leroy Welp and Vicki Bolte were married on Dec. 6, 1969, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. The late Rev. Firmus Dick officiated. Their attendants were Susie Luebbehusen, Louise Beck, Mary Lee Bolte, the late Ray Wessel, Bill Beck and Don Welp.
They are the parents of two children, Stephen Welp of Lexington, Kentucky, and Dr. Tamera Vandergriff (Alex) of Frankfort. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Welp retired from the U.S. Military with a STC 7 status after a 35-year career. Mrs. Welp has been a hairdresser for 52 years.
