Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Jerger of Jasper will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 12, with a Mass of thanksgiving at 5:30 p.m. in Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper. A dinner for invited guests will follow.
Leroy Jerger and Darlene Jochum were married Oct. 12, 1963, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntingburg. The late Father Raphael Hirsch, OSB, officiated. Their attendants were Jo Ann (Jochum) Spilly, Bernice (Jochum) Stalbaum, Marilyn (Haas) VIncent, Ronald Jerger, George Jochum and the late Edward Jerger.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerger are the parents of five children, Mary Osterman and husband Monte of Racine, Wis.; Ann Terwiske and husband Jason of Ireland; and David Jerger and wife Amanda, Beth Howard and husband Kevin and Dean Jerger and wife Leslie, all of Jasper. They have 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Jerger retired from Holland Dairy after 42 years. Mrs. Jerger retired from the Dubois County Health Department after 21 years.
