Kenneth and Rita Hoffman of Jasper will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 22, with a Mass of thanksgiving at 4:30 p.m. at the Schnellville Community Center. A reception for invited guests will be followed by an open house from 7 to 10 p.m. The couple requests no gifts.
Kenny Hoffman and Rita Schnell were married June 22, 1963, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Schnellville. Father Clarence Schlachter officiated. Their attendants were Bert (Schnell) Hochgesang, Patricia (Hoffman) Schuetter, Larry and Theresa (Schnell) Schmidt, Ray Hoffman and Donald Hoffman.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman are the parents of three children, Jeffrey Hoffman and wife Sharon of New Haven, Michael Hoffman and wife Lora of Mooresville and Tonya Bodkins and husband Brent of Jasper. They have five grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
Mr. Hoffman retired from truck driving, and Mrs. Hoffman retired from Holy Family School in Jasper.
